I keep seeing a picture going around Facebook that says ‘When someone tries to pull you into their drama, remind yourself not my circus, not my monkeys.’

I always laugh at that, and try to remember when the drama happens at home. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate the place to live, but sometimes I feel like I’m going to have a hole in my tongue with how hard I have to bite it around my sister in law.

There’s so much controversy on Facebook since the supreme court made their ruling. Here’s the thing, Christians are saying homosexuality is a sin according to the Bible. Ok, but how does gay marriage and marriage equality affect straight people? I don’t mean the baloney (autocorrect doesn’t like the spelling of balogna lol) about how it makes straight marriage mean less.

The Bible is against sex outside of marriage, but they’re not outlawing that, and that’s one of the 10 commandments! The Bible is against divorce, but that’s still legal. Yet, unlike divorce, gay marriage is supposedly an attack on the ‘sanctity of marriage.’ How are the other 2 not an attack on it? What does it matter what someone else does? You don’t have to agree just because you don’t prevent.

The Bible speaks of love. Why not love and let people answer for their own actions? We are called to look at our own sin first. Jesus did say to go to your brother about his sin, but He also said to let the one without sin should cast the first stone.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I know I’m not without sin, and I know for sure the Bible says we’re not blameless, no, not one.

This post has been more religious than my normal, but that’s because it’s the ones quoting the Bible that are the most vocal right now.

If you don’t agree with how someone lives their life, pray for them, be an example of God’s love. Don’t lecture them and drive them further away.
